Your Pre-Appointment Guide

Here at Flow, you are always welcome to stop in and take a look around. We do our best to help each and every person who comes in, but if you do know in advance you'll be joining us, it's a great idea to make an appointment. Projects can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours, so it's always best to make sure someone will be able to work with you for the time needed to create your new kitchen or bathroom.

Please call 215-454-2258 to set up a convenient time. Remember, we are open until 8 PM on Wednesdays, open Saturdays from 10-3, open 10-5 the rest of the week. We are closed on Sundays.

Our very knowledgable sales consultants at Flow are excited to work with you on your next project, so here are some tips to have each appointment run smoothly and efficiently.

Are you replacing your faucet and hardware? Simply count the holes in the deck for your faucet. Count your existing cabinet hardware and measure center to center for all your pulls if you'd like a new style. Bring pictures!

Need a new sink? Your kitchen sink size is determined by the sink base width. If you are sprucing up your existing cabinetry with a new counter, sink and faucet, please sketch out the layout and measure for an accurate countertop quote. Also measure the width of the cabinet under your sink.

New Kitchen? If you already have your kitchen designed, please bring your layout. If you don't yet have a kitchen designed, don't worry. You may find some products at Flow that will help guide the direction of your design.

For us to create with you the perfect bathroom that fits your needs, think about your goals and what you are trying to get out of the space. Are you looking for a spa like oasis? Is there a certain aesthetic that you love? Any new styles that have caught your eye? Do you want to make your space a statement or more casual? If you have a pinterest page or houzz, let us take a peek. However, we guarantee you will see things you never saw before and it's ok if you don't know what you want. Our team of consultants is here to help find exactly what's right for you.

Measure and Sketch

The measurements of your bathroom will be the basis of your design. If you are just replacing different pieces in your bathroom, then measure the length, width, and height of each piece in inches, especially your vanity and tub. Note any additional space we may be able to use. BRING PICTURES!

If you are fully redesigning your space, then it is important to talk to a contractor, plumber or designer to see what can and cannot be done. Depending on your budget, you may want to consider leaving existing plumbing in the same or similar locations. You or your contractor should take measurements to bring to the meeting. Sketch the room layout and take note of doors or windows which could impede selections. Measure your ceiling height in the shower area. This comes in handy for ceiling mounted shower heads.

Take note under your sink if the plumbing comes out of the wall or the floor.

Shower valves work with 1/2" and 3/4" pipes. If you're planning on adding multiple features to your shower, the size of the pipe can determine the type of shower valves we use. Ask your plumber what you currently have if you want the "car wash."

Toilet Rough In: Most toilets have a 12" rough-in, but occasionally older homes and smaller bathrooms have 10" or 14" rough-ins. A rough in is a measurement that you need, to make sure that your toilet fits perfectly against the wall. The best way to do this is to measure from the wall behind your toilet to the middle of the closest bolts that are holding your toilet to the floor.

We are looking forward to helping you create your amazing new spaces! Feel free to call with any questions!
